Fully double glazed, the cottage has the benifit of under floor central heating throughout and a wood-burning stove in the sitting room. Electricity, fuel costs and logs are included in the price of your stay, as are the quality bedding and towels.
During 2014, the heating system was upgraded, and now all heat and hot water comes from our new wood fired central heating system. This means that we now obtain all our fuel from locally grown timber from sustainably managed woodland, which has reduced our carbon footprint. We encourage our guests to recycle as much as possible, and we keep containers for separate recycling of glass, plastics, cardboard, newspapers.
We are baby and child friendly. On request we can provide a travel cot, high chair, stair gates and fire guard. A three wheel all-terrain buggy is available for hire.
There is ample car parking adjacent to the cottage. The laundry room is fully equipped with modern washer dryer, double sink, iron and ironing board and drying facilities.
Below is the nearby view of Hadrian's Wall and Peel Crags. This area includes some of the best preserved sections of the Roman Wall.
